Can I still use the bus pass if I don’t have a smartphone?
Yes, you can activate your student ID at the below locations and use it as a bus pass.

How does it work?
When you board, scan the pass on your smartphone or swipe your student ID.
When does it expire?
- For mobile app users, OC Bus app passes renew each semester upon enrollment. Students must maintain enrolled status to maintain eligibility for the program.
- For non-mobile app users, Student IDs must be reactivated each semester to be valid as a bus pass. Fall Student IDs expire as a bus pass in February; Spring IDs expire in August.
- All bus passes are non-transferrable.
Who is eligible?
- All Santiago Canyon College full- and part-time credit students.
- All continuing education students who attend 12 hours or more per week in an Adult Education Program.
Who pays for it?
- SCC credit students: Student fees of $5 for full-time students and $4.30 for part-time students per semester.
- SCC continuing education students: The OC Bus pass program is paid by the Adult Education Program and other sources.
