Step 1: Understand where OC Flex operates
Service Area
OC Flex is a pilot program with service currently available in one Orange County area. Your starting and ending points must be within this zone. The OC Flex Mobile App will help you determine where you can go. Check the map

Step 2: Get the OC Flex Mobile App and set up your account
Download the app
App available in the Apple Store and Google Play.
Create your account
Use the app to create your account. If you plan to pay for your ride using the app, enter your credit card information. Remember that rides paid through the app cost less than paying onboard.
Choose a payment option
Paying with the OC Flex Mobile App: $4.50 via credit card. The app can save your credit card information for greater convenience.
Paying cash onboard: $5. Use the app to schedule your trip, then pay cash to the driver.
Step 3: Book your ride
Enter your starting point and destination.
The OC Flex Mobile App will help you pick the nearest street corner for pickup and will display the approximate wait time.
Average wait time: 15-30 minutes

Saturday - Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
When Can I Use OC Flex?

Get picked up. You may share the ride.
OC Flex is a shared-ride service. Other customers may be picked up and dropped off while you're onboard.
Get dropped off. Continue riding OC Flex later in the day.
Remember, you can continue riding OC Flex for the rest of the day at no additional cost.

Free transfers with OC Flex!
All day on the day of purchase, OC Flex and OC Bus regular 1-day or 30-day Pass* are interchangeable. Use either pass on either service. Transfers to a train station are free. With a valid Metrolink or Amtrak pass, you can ride to or from a train station within the zone for free on OC Flex.
