On the weekend of March 25-26, Metrolink trains will not operate south of the San Juan Capistrano Station. Alternate bus transportation will NOT be provided between the San Juan Capistrano and Oceanside stations.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 25 & 26, both Metrolink and Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner trains will accept each other’s tickets and passes between Los Angeles and San Juan Capistrano.

Service Update
Friday, October 21, 2022
Starting Saturday, Oct. 29, Metrolink weekend trains along both lines will resume service to and from the San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, and San Clemente Pier stations.
Emergency work to stabilize the hillside south of the San Clemente Pier is beginning soon, and weekend service connecting to the Oceanside Station remains suspended.
Thursday, September 29, 2022
Unfortunately, continued movement to the right of way in the San Clemente area is forcing Metrolink to suspend Orange County Line and Inland Empire-Orange County Line service south of the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station beginning Friday and until further notice.
Working with geologists, geotechnical engineers, and surveyors, we have determined to ensure passenger safety service suspension is necessary. Until we have confirmation from the experts the slope movement has stopped, we will not resume Metrolink service.
Below is Metrolink’s adjusted service schedule beginning Friday morning:
-
Orange County Line:
-
All Orange County Line trains will operate as scheduled between the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station and Los Angeles Union Station, with no alternate transportation to or from San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente or Oceanside.
-
Inland Empire-Orange County Line:
-
All Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains will operate as scheduled between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and San Bernardino, with no alternate transportation to or from San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente or Oceanside.
