Special service will shuttle passengers between popular Anaheim trade show and Downtown Fullerton events
ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority is expanding hours of the popular Bravo! express bus service Thursday through Saturday during the NAMM Show.
The service expansion will shuttle attendees of the music trade show – named for the National Association of Music Merchants – between the Anaheim Convention Center and its surrounding hotels and concerts and events in Downtown Fullerton.
Bravo! Route 543 will expand its hours to operate from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Thursday morning, Jan. 22 through Saturday night, Jan. 24.
The quick ride between Anaheim’s Convention Center and the Fullerton Transportation Center aboard Bravo! has limited stops and costs $2. A similar taxi cab ride could cost about $24.
The Bravo! route launched in summer 2013 and has proven a popular option among weekday commuters. It operates along Harbor Boulevard between Costa Mesa and the Fullerton Transportation Center, with 16 stops along the way. The expanded weekday evening hours and Saturday service are only for stops between the Anaheim Convention Center and the Fullerton Transportation Center.
The most convenient stops for NAMM Show attendees are at Chapman Avenue and Katella Avenue.
The NAMM Show typically draws about 90,000 attendees over its four-day run at the Anaheim Convention Center. The trade show, which is not open to the public, displays the latest in musical instruments and technology. Events related to NAMM continue late into the night with many events planned in Downtown Fullerton including concerts at The Slidebar, Steamers Jazz Club & Café and the Fullerton Museum Center, among others.
Buses will arrive every 12 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. The fare is $2 each way or day passes are available aboard the bus for $5 per day ($1.50 for seniors ages 60 and older.)
