Construction Closures On Hold During Holiday Weekend (2013)

No road work ahead on projects throughout the county

July 1, 2013

ORANGE – People headed to watch the fireworks will enjoy a more relaxed commute as construction closures throughout the county will be postponed for the holiday weekend.

Ongoing freeway closures associated with the West County Connectors, O.C. Bridges, SR-91 and SR-57 projects will not take place from Thursday, July 4 through Sunday, July 7 to ease the impact on drivers. Regular construction schedules will resume on Monday, July 8.

OCTA buses and Metrolink also will operate on a holiday schedule on July 4. To view the schedules, visit: www.octa.net/ebusbook and www.metrolinktrains.com.

The projects represent more than $600 million in improvements and when completed will enhance traffic flow and safety for hundreds of thousands of drivers that travel along Orange County’s freeways daily.
