OC Bus Serves Multiple County Vaccination Sites

OCTA offers convenient and affordable transportation directly to or near several county vaccination sites

ORANGE – The Orange County Transportation Authority, which operates the OC Bus system, is making it easy for people who are signed up to receive a coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine to safely and affordably reach sites providing vaccinations.

OC Bus has options for travel directly to or near the county’s vaccination sites in Anaheim, Santa Ana and Aliso Viejo.

“I’m encouraged Orange County residents are eager to get vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus to protect themselves and our entire community,” said OCTA Chairman Andrew Do, also the county’s First District Supervisor. “OCTA is doing its part to ensure that, particularly in the core of our county, our residents can access vaccination sites safely, comfortably, and affordably via OC Bus.”

The bus routes serving vaccination sites include:

  • Disneyland in Anaheim, using Route 43 and Bravo! Route 543 along Harbor Boulevard, and Route 50 along Katella Avenue.
  • Anaheim Convention Center, also using Route 43 and Bravo! Route 543 along Harbor Boulevard, and Route 50 along Katella Avenue.
  • Santa Ana College, using Route 60, along Westminster Avenue and 17th Street, and Route 57 along Bristol Street.
  • Soka University. While no fixed-route bus travels directly to Soka University in Aliso Viejo, Route 87 has bus stops that take passengers within two miles of the site along Alicia Parkway.

Those hoping to receive vaccines must have an appointment in advance through www.Othena.com or the Othena app. Updated information about the vaccines is available on the county’s website at www.covidvaccinefacts.com.

Other options may be available for receiving the vaccine based on age, profession and medical history. The county urges people to check with their medical provider for additional vaccine information.

OC Bus travels to medical facilities and other important destinations across the county. The cost to ride the bus is $2, or $5 for a day pass, which includes transfers. More information about the bus system and route information is available at www.ocbus.com or by downloading the OC Bus app.
