Stuff-A-Bus Hits Honda Center Friday

20th Annual Stuff-A-Bus event hopes to break records and provide more toys than ever to children in need

ORANGE – The North Pole is coming to Orange County and Santa and Mrs. Claus are looking to residents to help fill buses with toys for local children. The annual Stuff-A-Bus event supports the Spark of Love toy drive and is sponsored by the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), ABC7, Honda Center and the Anaheim Ducks.

The Stuff-A-Bus event will take place on Friday, Dec. 21 from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Honda Center in Anaheim. Garth Kemp of ABC7 Morning News will be on-site to broadcast the event and greet the public.

Last year was a record breaking drive as more than 16,000 toys were collected for children in need and stuffed into nine OCTA buses. This year OCTA, ABC7, Honda Center and the Anaheim Ducks hope residents will come out and help to collect more toys than ever before.

“The holidays are a great time to spread joy and bring people together to lend a helping hand,” said OCTA Vice Chairman Greg Winterbottom. “We encourage residents to give back to the community and donate a toy to help bring holiday cheer to children that are less fortunate.”

The public is encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or sporting equipment to Honda Center parking lot at 2695 E. Katella Ave. in Anaheim. Toys will be distributed to children in need throughout the community.

Firefighters from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties have supported the Spark of Love toy drive for more than 20 years.
