Project Overview

OCTA and Caltrans is proposing to improve the local interchange at Interstate 605 and Katella Avenue in the City of Los Alamitos. The proposed project will enhance freeway access and arterial connection, traffic operations, as well as improve overall safety at the interchange.

The environmental phase of the project is complete and has moved into multi-year design phase. Build Alternative 2 has been selected that will:

• Modify the northbound and southbound ramps

• Improve Katella Avenue

• Enhance bicycle and pedestrian facilities
