OCTA administers a variety of funding programs for cities to widen streets, improve intersections, coordinate signals, build Smart Streets and rehabilitate pavement. OCTA also administers regional streets and roads improvement projects.
Project
Status
The MPAH was initially established in 1956 and is continuously updated to reflect changing development and traffic patterns.
In March 2011 Measure M officially came to a close with a majority of projects complete, and the few outstanding nearing completion.
As a driver, it can often be difficult to travel through multiple cities without stopping at numerous red lights.
This project was completed in 2018. OCTA improved traffic flow and safety on our streets by building a series of bridges – both underpasses and overpasses – to separate car traffic from trains.
