Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program

On August 8, 2022, the Orange County Transportation Authority’s (OCTA) Board of Directors (Board) authorized staff to issue calls for projects (call) for the Comprehensive Transportation Funding Program’s (CTFP) Regional Capacity Program (RCP) and Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program (RTSSP). The CTFP is the mechanism by which OCTA administers competitive funding for streets and roads projects. OCTA is pleased to announce that the 2023 Project O and Project P calls under Measure M2 (M2) are now open.

Regional Traffic Signal Synchronization Program (Project P)

Approximately $45 million in M2 funds will be made available for Project O and Project P collectively, for this call cycle. Proposed RTSSP projects are required to complete (and include with their application package) a supplemental application, which is subject to change and updated for each call, please click here for the latest 2023 Project P Supplemental Application and related Guide.

Please refer to the Temporary Policy for Inflation for information on the reapplication process for existing allocations and escalation adjustments to prior allocations.


Submittal Deadline

Funding applications must be submitted via the OCFundtracker online system and followed up with the submittal of one unbound hard copy. Both the hard copy, as well as the online applications, are due to OCTA no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
